B90, Day 9: Guard your heart against revenge and holding grudges

Leviticus is a book of rules. Of how to remain holy to God. How to say clean to God and please Him. It is a very difficult standard to live up to, that required numerous sacrifices, for even the slightest of sins. Many of the rules were quite logical, but it's the degree to which they were kept that is amazing.
Scripture: Leviticus 19:18
18 " 'Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.
Observation: God is pretty blatant about this one. Do not seek revenge or hold a grudge. Love your neighbor.
Application: We all make mistakes. And sometimes those mistakes hurt the people around us. And that can lead to negative thoughts and actions. But where does that really get us? More negativity. More upset. If we forgive our friends, our "neighbors" for hurt they cause us, and love them instead, we stop the vicious cycle.
God didn't want His people fighting then. I doubt he wants us fighting now. This is one rule that I'm pretty sure still applies and I'll continue to work to be sure I'm doing my best to obey.
Prayer: Dearest Father, Thank you for making your rules so clear to us. And for giving me the insight to see how they apply to me today. Help me avoid negativity and keep my heart clear of revenge and grudges.
B90, Day 4: Find the good in the bad

Scripture: Genesis 45:4,5
4 Then Joseph said to his brothers, "Come close to me." When they had done so, he said, "I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt! 5 And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.
Observation: Joseph's brothers find him in Egypt and are afraid he is going to be angry because they sold him into slavery. But Joseph tells them not to be.
Application: Joseph found the good out of the bad. By being sold into Egyptian slavery, and following God's will, he was able to provide for many people, including his own family, and save lives during a time of famine.
How great it would be if I could learn to apply this better in my own life!! Things aren't always going to be good. That is a plain and simple fact. But if I follow God's will, and learn to look for the good in a situation, maybe I can improve my own outlook.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You provide me with such amazing tools to learn by. Whatever the situation in my life, I need to learn to look for the good in it. I know it will lead to a happier life for myself and those around me. Thank you for helping open my eyes.
B90, Day 44: Have No Fear

Scripture: Psalm 112:7
He will have no fear of bad news; his hear is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.
Observation: We don't need to be afraid of bad news when we have God in our hearts.
Application: Wow! The timing on reading this particular verse couldn't have been more perfect, or ironic, or meant to be. I got some news that was "difficult," barely and hour after reading this verse. it was still tough to deal with, but I didn't let fear rule.
Prayer: Lord, I'm having a pretty rough day. They just changed Bug's surgery date and I feel so upset, and disappointed. I didn't want to wait. I hate waiting. And it's the emotional preparation that has gone into it. I was mentally ready for March 17th. And now I have to wait an additional 12 days. I was looking forward to her being home on Easter. Now she'll likely be in the hospital on Easter. I can't quite wrap my head around it. March 29th. It doesn't sound right. I will pray for the child who I assume took her place on the 17th. Someone sicker and more in need than her. They must need prayers. Psalm 112:7: He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. I won't fear Lord.
B90, Day 43: Shout for the Lord All the Earth Let Us Sing

Scripture: Psalm 98:4
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music.
Observation: Doesn't that make you just want to stand up and sing??
Application: A verse to keep handy to raise my spirits. It reminds me of one of my favorite songs.
Prayer: Father, I will shout for joy and sing to you about the incredible things you've done for me and with my life. I will praise you with every bit of voice I have!

B90, Day 41: No Fear

Scripture: Psalm 56:3
When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
Observation: I think this one is pretty self explanatory.
Application: How can I be afraid if I put my trust in God? So that's what I'll do.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, what a great reminder, I have nothing to be afraid of when I put my trust in you. Help me to remember to leave all my fears in your hands.

B90, Day 10: God's Peace

Scripture: Numbers 6:26
"the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."
Observation: This is part of a blessing the Lord is directing Moses to have Aaron and his sons give the Israelites. God wants them to have peace.
Application: If we look for God, He will look back at us, and when that happens we will have a sense of peace.
Prayer: Lord, Thank you for showing me the path to peace.
